Yang Wang

I am currently a postdoc fellow at Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO), working with Prof. Dashun Wang. Prior to joining Northwestern, I was a postdoc scholar of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University. I received my PhD in physics in July, 2016 from Bar-Ilan University, Israel. I received my B.S. degree in Management Science from Beijing Normal University, 2009.

My research takes multidisciplinary approach - combining statistical mechanics, computer science, and computational social science - to focus on the underlying structure and hidden patterns in massive data. My papers have been published in top journals as Phys Rev Lett, New Jour Phys, and Jour Geophys Res, and have been featured in APS Physics and IOPSELECT.
